Our elementary Character Counts! trait of the month is Citizenship! Citizenship starts with the mantra: “I try to be a part of the solution for myself and my community.” For November, our focus within the Character Counts! elementary framework is on citizenship. “Students are well informed, cooperative, and respectful. They are intentional about obeying rules at home, school, and community. These students understand the importance of protecting the environment, being a good neighbor, and voting in elections.”
For the month of November, our focus within the IB Learner Profile for our MYP students is on being a risk-taker! MYP Y1-Y3 students will be embodying and understanding this trait, and defining being a risk-taker during the month of November. “Students approach unfamiliar situations, and uncertainty, with courage and forethought. They have the independence of spirit to explore new roles, ideas, and strategies. They are brave and articulate in defending their beliefs", when they are being risk-takers.

Thanksgiving Break
What I love about Thanksgiving is that it’s purely about getting together with friends or family and enjoying food. It’s really for everybody, and it doesn’t matter where you’re from. Daniel Humm
Interim Reports
The second academic quarter of the 23-24 school year concludes on Friday January 19th, 2024, with Interim Reports scheduled for electronic delivery to all parent/guardians on Tuesday November 28th, 2023.
"Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity." You can join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.
"It’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in."
