September 2023
Family Engagement
Our goal is to provide workshops, resources, and events that are helpful and beneficial to our families. We will continue to provide you with opportunities to stay informed and engaged.
Message from Our Principal
I really need your help with something!
Since all of our students have been issued either a chromebook or iPad to have during the school day, they do not need their personal cell phones out for any reason while at Parkwood. This includes instructional time as well as recess and lunch. If they need an electronic device for an assignment while at Parkwood, they have one assigned to them in their classroom that they can use. If you allow your child to bring his or her cell phone to school, please make sure that they know to keep it in their book bag during the school day (If your child’s teacher has a different plan for cell phones during the school day, please make sure your child follows their teacher’s plan). If your student is seen using his or her cell phone during the school day, we will collect the cell phone from the student and contact you to come pick it up from the school.
Thank you so much for your help with this!

Ask your child for their Tuesday Folder
Students will be bringing home a folder on Tuesdays:
The folders may contain
- Important documents/information
- school work
- resources
- flyers for events
- newsletters
- important dates
- forms
- handouts
- communications
Please take a moment to read through the enclosed papers and sign/return any if required.
Thank you Parents/Guardians
REMINDER: Put your child's name on their belongings; very helpful in finding the owners of jackets and lunchboxes!
