24-25 Inspire School Calendar
The 2024-2025 School Year Calendar was approved by the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) last school year. Our calendar mirrors the DPS district calendar, with the exception of additional no student contact days for Inspire Professional Development days. As a reminder, our PD Days are designed to support staff development in the areas related to our Unified Improvement Plan such as Social Emotional Learning, Black Excellence, Equity sessions, data review and time for teams to design units, etc.
Last Chance to Purchase a Yearbook!
There are only 18 yearbooks left for sale! When we hit the 225 yearbook sales goal, our yearbook store will close. Don't miss out - purchase now at: www.yearbookforever.com.
Safety First - Drills & CPR/First Aid Certification
Safety is a top priority for us. As an update for our community, please be aware that:
- We have completed the required bi-yearly secure perimeter and lock down drills
- We will have our second bi-yearly required shelter-in-place drill next month
- We will continue to facilitate the required monthly fire drills through the end of the school year
- While not a DPS requirement 95% of Inspire staff are CPR/First Aid Certified!
School Safety Update
You may have noticed a new buzzer by the DGS door (door #2). The buzzer directly notifies DGS Front Office that there is a guest at the door. The previous system involved calling a DGS phone number to gain entry. As a shared campus, we did request, but were declined, building a separate vestibule. It's a complicated process and would require a half million dollars in funds. The district has bond money available for school safety improvement but there were many other schools with needs more pressing than ours. This was based on school safety data.
Building Improvement Update
We are still working with the district to build the concrete wrap around project. At this time, we are waiting on an accurate price quote that requires multiple departments. Thereafter, we are seeking possible DPS funds for the project instead of school funds to ensure we have as much funding as possible next school year for other school priorities.
