SGB Week Ahead

I hope everyone stayed safe and warm, while enjoying our first snowfall of the year!

SGB SPECIAL BIRTHDAY

Tomorrow, we wish our very own Mrs. Hanneman a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She is a rock and helps makes SGB what it is for all our families and students. If you or your children see her tomorrow, please wish her a very happy birthday!

The SGB Snowflake Dance was a huge hit and wouldn't have been possible without our LEAD VOLUNTEER, Mrs. Schaff and all the parent helpers who set-up, served food, sold raffle tickets and cleaned up. It takes a village and SGB has one amazing village!

LIBRARY

The SGB Library started last week and students can't wait to go back for more time with all the wonderful new books so many families have gifted us. If you'd like to volunteer, please sign up! (We need you!)

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of inclement weather, SGB follows the same protocol as North Rockland. If the North Rockland School District is closed, on a delayed opening or early dismissal...St. Gregory Barbarigo will follow the same plan. SGB Families will receive an IRIS ALERT in the event of any closures or changes in arrival/dismissal.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

The SGB Staff is finalizing our plans for our upcoming Catholic Schools Week (1/28-2/2). We will be sharing the plans at the next HSA meeting and an email will also go home so students are ready for an amazing week celebrating SGB!

Thank you for all the kind words and notes regarding the loss of the Morgan Family in Clarkstown. If your child needs any type of support for this or any other issue, please reach out and we will make sure help is provided during difficult times.

In preparation for CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK in January, 2024, I am encouraging SGB Families who would like to create a short testimonial about your positive experiences with SGB to share them using the link below. If you can write a short statement why you choose St. Gregory Barbarigo for your child/children and why other families should consider us as a choice, yours may be chosen to share with potential new families.

Each weekly workshop will include drama, dance, voice and prep (preparation for the upcoming show). Students will rotate and work on each discipline in small groups.

4/26 - Performance #1 @ 7pm

4/27 - Performance #2 @ 4pm and Performance #3 at 7pm

All orders must be submitted the FRIDAY before a HOT LUNCH.

Due dates are the FRIDAY the week before for both PIZZA and CHICKEN TENDERS.

VOLUNTEERS:

ALL VOLUNTEERS must complete the ADNY Safer Spaces Training online. CLICK HERE FOR THE TRAINING. Fill out the form and send it to the school prior to beginning the online training.

Many of you have already done this in years past for SGBS and if that's the case you don't need to repeat it. If you took the training at another ADNY school you'll need to repeat it for here.

1. CHANGES in DISMISSAL or ABSENCES

• Please complete the online form to notify the SGB Staff of any changes in your child's dismissal or if your child will be absent. Any child who is absent for 3 or more days must have a note from a doctor upon return. Thank you!

2. PARKING

• Please avoid parking in the teachers' parking lot. There is available parking in the church parking lot if you should arrive early. Please wait there until your child's drop off time.

3. VISITING SGB & NEW SIGN IN

• In an effort to keep our school safe and know when guests are in the building at all times, ALL adults will sign in when they enter.
