Minutos de Sra. Hutchins
Hello Fronteras Families!
We are SO grateful for the huge number of parent volunteers for our PE bike weeks, Pyrah’s field trips, and Cross Country! Time is the greatest gift you can give a child. Thank you! Thank you!
A HUGE THANK YOU to our Middle School and Elementary Cross Country coaches: Mr. Eller, Mr. & Mrs. Stamoolis, Mrs. Beck, and Mrs. Fogarty! We are so grateful to you for leading our runners through a super successful season! See photos and coach write-up later in this newsletter.
Thank you for the continued support of our Yellow status. Unfortunately, cases continue to be reported. We appreciate your support in having your student wear a mask while at school, keeping kiddos home when they show symptoms, and getting any symptomatic household members tested.
**Fronteras will NOT have bus service NEXT Thursday, Sept. 30th.**
Next Friday, October 1st is a district wide Professional Development Day. No school for students!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Hutchins

Two Very Important Requests!
- Please DO NOT drive behind our building at any time during the school day. This is a huge safety issue, as classes are held on our blacktop, and students and staff use the four portables throughout the day.
- Students must start wearing appropriate clothing for the changing weather. Please do not allow your child to wear shorts or sandals to school. In addition, all students must have appropriate cold weather clothing.
Cross Country News!
It is a wrap for Fronteras Middle School Cross Country Running! For six fast and fun weeks, the middle school runners braved every type of weather to tackle the trails outside. From grass drills to hill drills to sprints, runners became faster and stronger. The middle school season had four meets and Fronteras runners improved at every race. Athletes set goals and continually exceeded them. In addition to the running, there was a lot of laughing! It was a great season and, as coaches, we are so proud of all the runners.
Highlights:
1. Corbin Lutz was Fronteras’ fastest runner at the XC Championships at Redington with a time (and personal best) of 13 minutes and 35 seconds (about 6 min 17 second per mile on splits).
2. Brynlee was an amazing runner and our fastest girl (and our only girl—she is one tough young lady!)
3. Gio (8th grade) continually set ambitious goals for himself (goal: to beat his previous time by 2 minutes ) and then achieved his goals!
4. Jacob (8th grader) at the Colony races, beat his first time by over 4 minutes!
We gave out paper plate awards and both Cole and Noah (7th grade) got the “Surfing the Waves” award for continually being moved up into faster and faster heats.
