Social Studies 7 - American Revolution Simulation
Mr. Szczesny's 7th grade social studies class took a trip back in time to simulate pivotal battles of the American Revolution. Each group simulated battles and then responded to analytical questions that compared the simulated results with the actual outcomes of the war. The groups were self-paced and worked their way through battles from the "shot heard 'round the world" at Lexington and Concord, through a harsh winter at Valley Forge, and up until the surrender of British forces at the Battle of Yorktown.
Reminder for NYS Assessment Refusal
The Google form to submit your child's name for refusing any of the NYS Assessments is on the website. Please remember to complete it prior to the day of the test. The sooner we know our numbers, the better planning we can do for those students actually taking the test. If your child is not taking the tests, they are still required to attend school, and coming in late is an unauthorized tardy on their attendance record.
