Getting Started with Canvas

1. Navigate to my.ncedcloud.org

2. Login with your NCEdCloud credentials

3. Click on the red Canvas icon

You can find your courses on your Dashboard or Courses list (both are located on your left-hand Global Navigation bar).

From the home page of your course, click on "Publish" under Course Status on the right-hand side of the page.

You will be asked to choose a home page, if there is no other content in your course, you can select "Course Modules", then click on "Save".

Each day you can add an announcement to provide a to-do list of student activities and resources.

Announcements can be added by clicking that link on the left-hand course navigation bar and then selecting "+ Announcement" in the upper right-hand corner.

Add a title and your content. Then review the setting options and select "Save". You can even pre-plan and prepare announcements for the next day by choosing "Delay posting" and setting the time and date to post.

1. Go to your course "Settings" from the left-hand navigation bar
2. Scroll to the bottom and select "More Options"
3. Check the box to "Show recent announcements on Course home page"
4. Scroll down and select "Update Course Details"

Your students can now see your daily announcements with their to-do list and resources!
