News From The View
Skyview Upper Elementary School
From Mrs. Berical
What an exciting day we had at Skyview! To celebrate the culminating of our Skyview Strong fundraiser, we had a celebration with a DJ, a Kona Ice truck and games! It was a fun morning and our students and staff are extremely grateful for all of the donations that came in to support our school community. Together, we raised $25,146.25! Thank you!
This afternoon, our classrooms celebrated fall with a classroom party supported by our Home and School! Please ask your child what they enjoyed about their fall party. A very special thank you to all of our parent volunteers who helped make this afternoon possible! This is a great way for our students and staff to build a positive classroom community and it would not be possible without your time and dedication.
Next week, we are having multiple spirit days to celebrate many exciting events! Please see the schedule below. Please note the change for Monday, October 31st as students will be permitted to wear a Halloween costume. Students who want to dress up should choose costumes that are respectful of others and avoid symbols of violence. Weapons or replicas of weapons may not be brought into school. Costume masks may not be worn.
Monday, October 31st: Twin Day or Halloween Costume Day (students who did not plan to dress with a buddy for twin day or who will not be wearing a Halloween costume are encouraged to wear a green and/or white top with jeans if they wish.
Tuesday, November 1st: Phillies Spirit Day
Wednesday, November 2nd: Methacton Spirit Day
Thursday, November 3rd: Eagles Spirit Day
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Berical

Skyview Strong Update!
Today was the Skyview Strong Celebration Day, a culmination of our very successful fundraiser from the past few weeks! The students celebrated with a DJ, Kona Ice truck, and various fun field activities! We hope all of the students and staff had fun and are proud of themselves for what they have accomplished.
We are going to have an awesome year of events and opportunities because of the great teamwork that was done—students, staff, parents and our entire community working together to raise this much money! We had donations from 2 countries and 23 states!! Working together, the students earned ALL EIGHT school-wide rewards—and then went above and beyond and earned an extra daytime assembly (to happen in the Spring) and a free family night event (to happen in February).
A student was chosen in the raffle to get picked up at home in a Lower Providence police car, driven to Dunkin Donuts and then to school! Team Migatz selected the theme for Monday, October 31st. It will be Twin Day. So we hope the students and staff have fun coordinating outfits with their friends and being twinsies!
The big team prizes were also announced today for the top earning 5th and 6th grade teams. Some classrooms also earned outdoor lunches (to occur in the Spring).
Our Skyview Home and School Association wants to thank everyone for their support and generosity during this fundraising campaign. This school year is going to be one of the best for our students because of it!! STAY SKYVIEW STRONG all year!!
