Counselor's Corner
Greetings and I hope it was a wonderful week.
In PreK/Kinder the students learned about empathy and the golden rule. Middle school learned about the importance of facial expressions, and why it is important to understand facial expressions in life. Next week PreK/Kinder will learn about cooperation, and middle school will learn about an abundance mindset.
This week's leader in me worksheet is about finding balance. We all struggle to find a balance in work and life and this useful exercise can help the whole family define what is important.
Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm,
Dr. Kirstie Carmichael LMSW, DBH
School Counselor
Now accepting applications for 24-25 school year
St. Theresa Catholic School is now accepting new student applications for the 2024-2025 school year! If you have friends or family that are interested in joining us next year, our application is available on our website under Admissions Process.
Re-enrollment for your currently enrolled students will take place early in 2024, as usual. You will receive a separate email about re-enrollment in early 2024.
For new applicants, the application deadline to be considered in our first round of decisions for the 2024-2025 school year is February 5, 2024. We WILL continue to consider applications submitted after this date, so long as there is space in the grade. PK3 applicants must be three years old as of September 1, 2024 and toilet trained before school begins in August 2024.
We are scheduling on campus tours on Tuesday mornings while school is in session. If you have any questions regarding the admissions process at St. Theresa, please contact Kelly McCarty at 346-335-1706 or k.mccarty@sttheresa.cc.

Typhoon Texas Kids Triathlon
Registration for the Typhoon Texas Kids triathlon registration is open. We have created a St. Theresa team for everyone who would like to participate and 10% of the entry fee will be donated back to the school for every kid who joins. The race is super fun (and super safe...they swim in a lazy river and have plenty of volunteers on the course). The kids also get an entry to Typhoon Texas with their race fee that they can use that day or anytime over the summer.
There is a Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 option. Most of the St. Theresa kids will race on Sunday.
Is your child interested in participating but never done a triathlon, no worries! We will plan to hold some clinics in February and March to teach the kids the basics. Please contact Christy Lan at bohannon5@hotmail.com with any questions.
