It's a Party!
A certain secretary had a birthday over the weekend. If you get a moment to stop by and celebrate in the office there will be some snacks available to enjoy!
Week 2 Down!
What a week this was! I am unsure how we made it through the week, but we did. We overcame water and internet outages and a myriad of other issues. Yet, we all made it through and finished the week out strong. I cannot express my gratitude enough for your flexibility and help.
Thursday night was grandparents'/grandfriends night. We had a fantastic turnout for the evening. It was wonderful meeting all of the grandparents and community members who joined us. Thank you to the individuals that helped set everything up and helped the evening go so wonderfully. I cannot wait to see all the pictures from the photo booth. I had several grandparents compliment us and thank us for a lovely evening with their grandchildren.
As always, you have all amazed me with your daily work in your classrooms. When I was able to get into classrooms, I saw some incredible lessons from veteran and new teachers alike. These fantastic lessons and activities are why our students are so successful. To help celebrate this success, we will have an awards ceremony at the end of the first quarter celebrating our academic success and introducing a new program for our 6th-12th grade students. If I can do anything to help make your jobs easier and our students more successful, please let me know.
Teacher Spotlight
Kindergarten
While it is early in the year, and I am still getting to know her, I think we can all learn a thing or two from her classroom and the patience she shows when dealing with her students. If you are ever looking to gain a new perspective or just need a pick-me-up, I would highly encourage you to wander down the kindergarten room for a bit.

Quote of the Week

Remember, we are all in this together. Help each other out, and don't be afraid to ask for help or ideas when needed.
