Dear Swift-Slaybaugh Families:

It is hard to believe that the month of October is almost over. We are finally being greeted by the cool, crisp air, the beautiful colors of our changing leaves, and the abundant energy of our amazing students as they continue to grow as learners and friends in our classrooms and halls.

Looking back on our first few weeks of school, we are extremely proud of all we were able to accomplish. Our students were greeted this year with welcome signs and chalk drawings by our teachers and Parents Club. We had a well-attended virtual Back to School Night, a fall Pep Rally, we got to see our students show their favorite pajamas, team wear and match with a friend during Spirit Week.

During the month of October, students and staff focused on what it means to be Respectful. Students had the opportunity to explore this character trait with their classmates and teachers as we support our students social and emotional growth.

October also brings with it some additional excitement. Renaissance will be sponsoring Pennies for Pumpkins Decorating Contest from October 25-29 and we will be celebrating Halloween with costumes and a parade on Friday, October 29th.

We thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. We are continually humbled to be part of an incredible community that continues to band together to support our students.

If your child missed their school pictures, a Make-Up Picture Day will be held November 24th for Slaybaugh Primary/Elementary students and December 2nd for Swift Students.

Shae Castellane and Jax Young from Mrs. Lee's Kindergarten class dressed alike Thursday (Oct. 21st) to "Stand Together Against Bullying!"

Miss King’s class had a great time at the Fire Prevention assembly yesterday. They even made their own fire dogs!

DINNER AND A MOVIE - INFORMATION WILL BE COMING HOME WITH YOUR STUDENT ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 18TH.
