LHS Parent Newsletter: Friday, November 17, 2023
Reminders and Updates from Dr. Bonneau
Thanksgiving Holiday: November 20-24 No school; campus closed
Monday, November 27th will be a B day.
Third Six Weeks: Please be aware that this grading period is a short one. It started last Monday and is six weeks long, but teachers lose instructional time this six weeks due to student holidays and final exams and reviews. Encourage your students to watch their grades and communicate with teachers often.
Exemptions: The exemption process will begin soon and an email will be sent to students to start the exemption process.
Please be aware, that if a student "Absence Fails" any class, they are ineligible for exemptions in any class. This would be triggered by 5 or more absences in any class. (It would be 10 absences for Advisory because that class meets every day.)
Evolv entry in the morning: Thank you, parents and students! We have not had lines backed up in the morning because students are getting here earlier. This really helps with the traffic flow.
As a reminder, here are the entry door times:
Morning entry: 6:45-7:25 AM - Main front entrance or back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
Senior Late Arrival/Morning Athletes: 8:35-9:00 - Back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
Ben Barber AM: 10:15-10:35 - Back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
Ben Barber PM: 2:45-2:55 - Back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
The front entrance (main entrance) will be open with the machine staffed all day for visitors and students who park in the front or do not arrive at a time that the back entrance is open.
Senior Section: We have started the senior class section of the parent newsletter. Any information that is sent to me concerning the class of 2024 will be in that section. It is near the bottom of the newsletter, so just keep scrolling.
Let's CELEBRATE! If you have had an experience with someone at Legacy and want to give them a "shout out", please send me their name and a brief explanation. We would love to make someone's day! My email address is stephaniebonneau@misdmail.org.
As usual, please reach out if you have any questions!
