SEAS Faith Formation

Note from the DRE
Happy May and Happy Easter!
The month of May is dedicated to our Blessed Mother Mary! As Catholics we honor Mary and look to her to intercede in our prayers.
I invite you as a family to spend time with her in prayer.
May 13th is the feast of “Our Lady of Fatima”. FORMED has a great family movie called “The Day the Sun Danced: The True Story of Fatima” here is the link to watch https://watch.formed.org/videos/the-day-the-sun-danced-the-true-story-of-fatima
May is also a very busy month in our SEAS Faith Formation program. We celebrated Confirmation on May 4th and will begin First Eucharist celebrations for our elementary children on May 13th. I humbly ask you to keep our SEAS students and our catechists in your prayers.
Once again, thank you for all your support of our SEAS faith formation program. Continue to pray for us as we continue to pray for you!
God Bless,
Mrs, Driskill

The Good Shepherd Atrium
As our year comes to an end, the catechists of the Good Shepherd would like to thank you for allowing us to share 90 minutes a week hearing Jesus's word in the atrium with your children. One of the activities we do every week in the atrium is to gather around the praying corner either at the beginning or at the end of our time together. We invite you to have your children set up a praying corner at home. A table with a tablecloth, if possible, of the liturgical color of the season with some of the following items: a bible or a prayer chosen or written by them, a crucifix or a figure of the Good Shepherd or Mary, a candle and maybe a small plant. Have your child create a simple yet beautiful space where they can be at peace even if it's only a minute or two for the little ones.
For more details, please see the following parent page on How to Set Up a Prayer Table.
Elementary Faith Formation
Happy May, the Month of Mary!
We have had a wonderful Faith Formation year! Thank you for all the parental support, and a special thank you to all our dedicated volunteers. It is such a blessing to see our kids strengthen their faith and our community grow closer together.
Also, happy Mother's Day to all our Faith Formation moms, grandmothers, Godmothers, and any other motherly figure supporting our children. We pray that you know how much you are loved and cherished.

Edge- Middle School
This week for EDGE we finished our Look Closer series. Through this series, your middle schooler learned about the necessity of grace, the beauty of the sacraments, and their uniqueness to our identity as Catholics. This week focused on vocations and the sacraments of marriage and holy orders. Next week, May 10th, we will have our final class of the year which will be a social time for the kids to hangout and eat some pizza!
Life Teen- High School
Last Sunday for Life Teen we completed our After Exodus series. After Exodus is a Life Night series that helped the teens understand the Ten Commandments’ moral concepts to help guide their lives to be Jesus’ disciples. This series led to a lot of great discussions in small groups throughout the 4 weeks of the series. Next class, May 7th, we will have our final class of the year which will be a social time for the teens to play kickball and eat some pizza!
Confirmation
We celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with Auxiliary Bishop Michael Boulette , our pastor Monsignor Conor McGrath, Father Robert Rosales and Deacon Jan Lee. Please pray for the 61 teens as they continue their spiritual journey with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Thank you to the SEAS faith formation staff and great volunteers for accompanying the teens.
