Good Afternoon WMS Community,
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. This is the time of year when everything is moving frenetically, and before you know it, we are into a new year. There are only 18 days until the holiday break and plenty of things to mark on your calendars.
First, this week is our PIM book fair in the WMS LMC. Clicking this link will give you information on the schedule and how to set up an e-wallet. The book fair is returning after a long absence. Please support PIM in their efforts in supporting the staff and students at WMS.
The first trimester ends this Friday. Please be sure you are checking PowerSchool for missing assignments. Parent conferences are on Dec. 11, 12th and 14th. Directions on how to register for conferences will be sent to you this Friday (12-1). Please check your email for this important information. Conference Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. on Dec. 4 and close on Dec. 7 at 3:00 p.m. Please note students will be dismissed at 11:55 on all conference days.
Our World Class Warrior breakfast honoring students who exhibit the Warrior Way is Friday at 6:40 a.m. Our first-trimester recipients of this award were notified in advance. Thank you to Mr. Gorski, who manages the entire program each trimester.
Our Music Department is preparing for our Winter Concert on Dec. 13. Rehearsals begin this week, so students should double-check that all their work is completed before the end of the trimester. We are excited and anticipate an outstanding performance.
Lastly, the winter months mean cold and flu season. Although we do not want students to come to school when they are ill, it is important to avoid absences when possible. If your student is out of school or will be late, parents must call the office for the absence/tardy to be considered excused. Unexcused tardies exceeding five will result in after-school detention. If you have questions, please call the main office or the nurse.
