RRHS Update - Week of 9/4/23
Spirit Week is HERE!
Our first spirit week is next week, as well as our first pep rally and tailgate! The tailgate will be from 5:00-6:45 near the stadium on Friday.
The dress up days are:
- Tuesday- Adam Sandler Day
- Wednesday- Barbie Day
- Thursday- Squad Day
- Friday- Tropical Out (pep rally day)
Back to School Night - SAVE THE DATE!
Parents are asked to print or bring a picture of their child's schedule from ParentVue and arrive early to avoid the crowds!

Volleyball @ Riverside, 5:45/5:45/7 p.m. Bus departs at 4:30 p.m.
Field Hockey vs. Potomac Falls 5:30 p.m.
Friday 9/8
Varsity Football vs. Strasburg, 7 p.m.
Saturday 9/9
Cross Country @ Great Meadow. Bus departs at 3 p.m.
School Pictures
School Picture Day is coming, Wednesday, September 6th & Thursday September 7th. Freshmen and sophomores will take their pictures with their PE classes, and 11th graders will take their pictures with their English class. If a student does not have PE or English, they can come to L405 to get a pass to take their picture during their study hall, advisory, lunch, before school from 9:15-9:30, or during Brain Break.

Student Parking Reminder
Just a quick reminder that in the student parking lot in front of the school, the painted spots are reserved for the students who paid for/painted their spots. Please do not park in a painted spot. Any of the unpainted spots are available to park in on a first-come first-serve basis. If you have a painted spot, and someone parks in it, please see Mr. Kinkead. If you are a senior and you would like to reserve a spot/paint a spot, please see Ms. Prince in L405.

Lunch Benefit
- This is a reminder to complete your free and reduced lunch application if you have not received your eligibility letter yet for your student.

Snack Pantry
- Students on the lunch benefit may visit the Snack Pantry during Brain Break and its located in the main office.
- Kindly collect a free snack which is meant to bridge the gap between the Cafeteria Breakfast and Lunch.
Weekend Groceries
- Rock Ridge high school will endeavor to provide our families that need additional support with a week-end bag of groceries.
- We will try our best to have this made available every Friday for collection.
- Please email our family liaison if you would like to receive this weekly bag.
School Counselor Reminders!
Schoolinks
Onboarding for Schoolinks- Students and parents this is your homework to complete ASAP. Schoolinks is accessed through LCPS Go. Please have your student complete the following. Doing this will jumpstart your students’ progress!!!
- Student Logins
- Guardian Logins
- Have at Least One Guardian Join
- Complete the “Find the Path” Assessment
- Complete the “Learning Style” Assessment
Dual Enrollment with RBC of William & Mary
If you are enrolled in a dual enrollment course with RBC please follow the instructions on this letter to register with RBC. Click Here to register The deadline to register is 9/22. Please note: Students when you register please do not use nicknames. Several students currently in college have had to wait to have their RBC credits awarded because their RBC transcript did not have their full legal name.
