Holy Name of Jesus will be hosting a Parish Mission by Fr. Thomas Sullivan C.S.M from the Fathers of Mercy Sunday, Nov. 4-Wednesday, Nov 7. See flier for start times. Come join us for one night or all the nights. The title of the mission is "The Mercy of God". Divine Mercy, St. Padre Pio, St. Theresa of Calcutta and the Blessed Sacrament will be discussed. Fantastic talks along with Adoration and confession opportunities! There will be snacks following the closing session on Wednesday! You do not need to be a parishoner to attend and it is at no cost to you (free). Everything takes place in church, hope to see you there.
Let Me Be Your Servant
It’s almost time for our next donation drive! Help make a difference by cleaning out your closet and donating any spare coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to the Winter Gear Drive. The drive will run from November 5-16. Grand adults are also welcome to donate when they join us on November 13th! Donation boxes will be located in the primary, intermediate, and middle school hallways, as well as the church foyer. All donations will go to St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you for your support!
"You shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks." Deuteronomy 15:8

Wanting to be of service to others? Looking for an opportunity to be of service?
#1.
Moms/care-givers of infants and toddlers who are looking for a way to be of service to others have a wonderful opportunity to do so by bringing your little ones to a Kindermusik class at the St. Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove once a week with those senior sisters from the Benedictine Monastery and other senior residents of St. Paul Hermitage. Kindermusik is a movement and music class for infants and toddlers. Kindermusik Studies have shown that music and movement have positive impacts on not only children but seniors as well. By bringing the Kindermusik experience to the senior sisters and residents, we are able to enrich the lives of children and seniors alike. It is truly a magical experience for all involved. Our classes were a huge success last year and we are offering them again this year. We have room for more little ones. Please consider this special opportunity to bring joy to the lives of our senior friends. Classes will begin November 8. For more information contact: Jody Treadwell, Director at 317-513-5941
#2.
Kindermusik with “Grand” friends is an open invitation for moms with toddlers to be of service to a very specific group of aging religious and seniors. We are all encouraged to be of service to others. Here is the perfect opportunity to be of service to those elder sisters at Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove who now reside at St. Paul Hermitage and other residents of the Hermitage as well.
One half hour a week with your infant or toddler in the presence of the sisters and residents in an organized music class for your child will give more joy to the heart and soul of these elders than you would ever imagine. After having met with them with this proposal, they couldn’t wait to see little ones let alone sing with them, play with them and make music with them.
If you have ½ hour a week to give, a child between the age of birth to around 3 years old, have a giving heart, would enjoy seeing your child have the perfect start in life both musically and developmentally and would like to bring a smile to the face of an elder then this is your perfect opportunity to be blessed.
Call Jody Wyss-Treadwell at 317-513-5941 for more information. The projected start date is November 8. Please consider this ministry as part of your being of service to others. Accepting registrations until the class is full.
