As we begin 2024, we are so grateful for the support of Trailside families. Thank you to all the volunteers who have chaperoned field work or supported us in the library. Thank you for sending snacks and treats to make classroom parties special and to brighten a teacher's morning. Thank you for talking with your children about their days at school. Thank you to the volunteers who plan, organize and execute our fun community events. We are so excited to welcome students and families back to the building on Monday, January 8th. We are CREW - together we shape students' learning.

Please be sure your child comes dressed for the weather! As we all know, during winter in Colorado, the temperature can fluctuate. Students will usually go outdoors for recess if the "feels like" temperature is at 25 degrees or above. Coats, hats and mittens or gloves will help students stay warm and get the movement they need!

School starts with Crew at 7:53am. Thank you for your support in ensuring your student arrives at school on time each day. We've seen an increase in the number of students arriving tardy, which can impact the flow of class as the day begins. The cafeteria doors open for students to enter at 7:40am, providing them with ample time to eat breakfast and arrive at class on time.

If your student will be absent, please email TrailsideOffice@mapleton.us or leave a message on our attendance line at 303.853.3045. This greatly reduces the number of calls our office staff makes each day to inquire about student attendance. Thank you for your cooperation!

New after school enrichment classes begin this week, starting on Tuesday January 9th. If your student is registered for a class, you should have received a link to a Google Form to complete registration as well as a text confirmation. If you have questions, please reach out to Kelly Dent, our 21st Century Grant Coordinator, at dentk@mapleton.us.

Some 7th and 8th graders from a guitar elective class performed at our Leader of the Pack assembly in December. It was great to see their talents showcased!

Enrollment for next school year opens on January 17th! This includes the Annual Update that all returning students complete each year. This is completed online through Infinite Campus. You can find easy to navigate links at www.mapleton.us. Please reach out to the Main Office if you need help remembering your username and password.

All preschool students will need to complete the enrollment process to register for kindergarten, even if they already attend Trailside. All 8th grade students will need to choose a high school as well. For in-district families, the registration window opens on January 17th. For out-of-district families, registration opens March 1st.
