2nd English Language Learners Family Night
Mrs. Holmes, ESL Teacher, and Senora Blake, World Language Teacher, with the help from Ms. Selikoff, teacher at TJ Middle School, put together an informative night for our families. In attendance were representatives from the Rockaway Borough Library, Recreation Department, Elite Martial Arts, and Community Food Bank. It was a huge bonus to have entertainment for the students and for them to have an opportunity to attend an upcoming soccer game.
Important Reminders
From Principal Skomial:
We have many exciting events planned for our students over the next several months. It has been my goal to collaborate with our families and our Rockaway Borough Community. This month, we worked with the Carpentry program at Morris Hills High School to get some snowmen cutouts for our front entrance. Then, the TJ Art Club, under the guidance of Mrs. Isenberg, designed the snowmen and prepped them to spend the winter outside. And now, Snowball and Snowy are ready to greet our children!
Please be sure to check ClassTag for timely updates. We appreciate your support with all of our initiatives!
From Officer Mark:
Please be reminded that there is no parking, drop off, or pick up of students in the staff parking lots. Please obey the 25 MPH speed limits near the school. The U-turn area is located at the entrance to TJ Middle School. Please refrain from making k-turns on Keller Avenue for the safety of our students and their families.
We have provided new signage outside of our front doors to help provide more communication to visitors. As a reminder, photo ID is required when picking up your child.
From Our School Nurse:
From Our School Counselor:

3rd Grade Diorama Projects
Students created dioramas based on a scene from a favorite fiction book. They also had to answer story element questions about the book they chose on a separate worksheet. The dioramas were put on display for all of Lincoln's students to see. Look at these outstanding creations!
Reading Buddies
Reading Buddies is an initiative that pairs two grade levels together with the goal of making reading fun and enjoyable. Check out our 1st graders and kindergarteners reading together this month!
