Principal's Message
Legacy Academy Families,
Week two is complete for Tracks A, B, and C and it's time for Back to School Night. We look forward to hosting our families on Tuesday, July 23rd. We will start in the MPR at 5:30 pm, followed by two sessions in classrooms at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. You only need to attend the classroom session once; we offer two sessions to help families who need to visit more than one classroom.
On Friday, Track C will have a minimum day and release at 11:30 am because they will be going off track. Track C is off school from July 29th to August 28th. Track D students will join us for their First Day of School on Monday, July 29th!
As a reminder, parents can drop off and pick up at the gate off of Market Street OR the gate off East Preserve Loop. The only thing we ask is that your student knows which gate you will be getting them from so they are there waiting for you. Please follow all traffic laws; do not park and leave your car unattended in red zones. When in the drop-off/pick-up lane, pull forward all the way so we are not blocking the flow of traffic on the streets.
Students must have a bus pass to ride the bus. Please contact transportation if you have not received your requested bus pass. It is important for students to make sure they bring their bus pass with them each day if they will be riding the bus. If a student misplaces their bus pass, they can come into the office and we will help.
Sincerely,
Adrienne Chase
Principal

Birthdays (page 10)
Birthdays can be an exciting time for students, and we want to recognize their special day; our teachers will do their best to verbally recognize birthdays. However, in order to minimize loss of instructional time, and to follow our wellness policy, treats and goodie bags are not to be brought to school. We ask that you do not place a teacher in an awkward position by asking them if you can have a party or bring in cupcakes, cakes, goodie bags, etc. because they have been told the same policy. Gifts/balloons/flowers should not be sent to the school. If these items are brought to school, they will remain in the office until the end of the day.
Pets (page 28)
Dogs and other animals are not permitted on school grounds for safety and health reasons. This includes the parking lots and walkways in the arrival/dismissal area. Parents should not walk or bring their dogs or pets to school when dropping off or picking up their children. For the safety of children and adults, family pets should not be brought onto school grounds, in the parking lot, or into the school office, except for registered service dogs. (Board Policy AR 1330 c 8. Animals shall not be allowed on district property at any time during use of facilities with exception of police dogs, seeing-eye dogs, and dog obedience classes sponsored by county or city organizations.)
Please call the school when your child is absent at (909)364-2319
Parents/guardians shall call the school office between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, submit the absence through the Parent Portal, or send an email/hand-written note to the office, upon returning to school (BP/AR 5112.1). You have three days to clear your child’s absence. Please contact the school office in advance of any long-term (3 or more days) unavoidable absence to arrange a schedule of the work to be completed by the student. This must be done at least one week in advance.
Meal Applications
Breakfast and Lunch Menus can be found on the Nutrition Services Website. They are also pictured and linked below.
Letters were mailed home to all families who are registered for Legacy Academy regarding meal service and applications for reduced-price meal programs. Please read the letter for an explanation regarding the importance of this process. Applications are typically completed through our Aeries Data Confirmation process. However, paper applications must be submitted for the first year. You should have received an application with a return envelope. You can send the application back in the envelope, take it to Nutrition Services, or bring it to the Legacy Academy office the first week of school and we will submit it for you. You can also find the letter and the application on our website.
Fun Club
The Fun Club staff sent emails to all families who were accepted into the program. If you completed the form during open enrollment (March 4th to 22nd) but were not accepted, you should have received an email regarding placement on the waitlist. Families who signed up for the waitlist after March 22nd will be receiving an email soon. Space availability for this program is based on the capacity of the Fun Club building that is on the campus. If you have any questions, you can contact the Child Development office at (909) 628-1202 ext. 8917.
We are now enrolling NEW K-8 students for the 24-25 school year. After completing the Aeries online registration process, email our office staff for a registration appointment. Click here for more information.
