Mustang News - October 20th, 2023
From The Principal
Hello Mustangs! We have had a fantastic week at MSHS full of relationships, deep learning, and opportunities! I thoroughly enjoyed spending so much time in classrooms this week and seeing students collaborate together to play games associated with lifetime fitness outside in the beautiful fall weather, submit numerous college applications as part of Free Colorado Application Days, and analyze the Calvin Cycle in AP Biology! We are looking forward to connecting with families next week during Conferences on Thursday, 10/26 in the afternoon and Friday, 10/27 in the morning. Have a phenomenal weekend! MSHS Parent/Teacher Conferences
Dear Mustang Families,
Conferences are a great opportunity for you to connect with your child’s teacher about their learning. Students are encouraged to attend along with parents/guardians to offer a clear circle of feedback. This year, conferences will be held virtually on Thursday, October 26th from
1:15pm-6:30pm and Friday, October 27th from 8:00am-12:00pm. To schedule a conference with a teacher, click on the name below. Calendly will automatically set up a Google Meet for the time you select. When you schedule your conference, please include the name of your child so the teacher can be prepared to answer your specific questions. If there are no available time slots, please email the teacher to set up another time to conference. We look forward to collaborating with our families!

El Monte Pl. Parking Update...
The City of Manitou Springs Parking Enforcement Unit recently painted the guardrail yellow on the north side of the street from Manitou Springs Middle School up to Manitou Springs High School with the intent of making this a no parking zone.
We explained to the Director of Parking Enforcement that we use that area for overflow parking for students during the school day as well as spectators for events held at Manitou Springs Middle School and Manitou Springs High School.
MSSD14 Security Director has been assured by the Director of Parking Enforcement that we will be allowed to continue to use this area as overflow parking and that there will be no citations issued to people parked in this area.
