Principal's Message
Wildcats and Families,
This has been a great Homecoming week. The parade, spirit rally, and powder puff games took place on Wednesday evening. Two exciting powderpuff games ended with the senior and freshman girls winning their games. Sue Smith's Seminar won the door decorating contest on Thursday. The All-school Pep Assembly took place on Friday. The student leaders of fall sports teams and activities spoke to the student body about their events. The Cheer Team, Diamond Dancers, and Diamond Dudes performed. The Homecoming Court was introduced, and the sophomore class won an interesting balloon-busting competition.
We had a great turnout for the football game Friday night. Shout out to our student section, The Wildside - great job supporting our Wildcats! The semi-formal Homecoming dance took place in the Commons of DHS on Saturday night.
Thanks to all the community members, teachers, and students for getting involved and showing off our school spirit.
We would like to take a moment to emphasize the importance of parental supervision for our middle and elementary school-aged students during varsity home football games. We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans and kindly request that you accompany your children to the games and expect that they sit with you throughout the event. Your presence not only ensures their safety but also fosters a sense of community and school spirit. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making our games a fun and secure place for all.
The schedule for the week:
- Monday, September 25th: Green Day
- Tuesday, September 26th: White Day
- Wednesday, September 27th: Green Day, Parent-Teacher Conferences, 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm.
