Please make sure that your children are dressed for the weather! Children will be sent out to play unless temperatures/wind chill drop below zero. The schools use WeatherBug to check weather updates and temperatures.

Also, please send in extra clothing for your child. Many children have accidents or get wet throughout the day and will need an extra set of clothing.

With the cold weather upon us and the possibility of school closure and delays, we would like to remind you that the district provides information in a number of different ways. Please go to the district webpage at (http://harborps.org/parents/school-closing-procedures/) for a list of radio and television stations to tune into, as well as information to register with School Messenger (see below) or BE ALERT, the tri-county emergency notification system.

Please let me know if your family needs any help with snow clothing for your students. Also, if you need any financial assistance with holiday shopping (and did not sign up for the program in October) please let me know. We have a very generous community that regularly reaches out and wants to help support children and families in many ways. This year has especially brought many unexpected challenges so please ask for help-we are all in this together!
