We appreciated your patience this week while we sorted through the issues with the boiler. It's old...one of the few things in the building that might be older than I. The piping, equally ancient, runs underground, which has made locating the problem and having access to it tricky. When Mr. Carey was one of the PE teachers, he always told the students that we had a pool underneath the gym. Unfortunately, he's not that far off right now, although it's more of a splash pad than a wave pool.
Fortunately, next week the temperatures look to be warmer. With no sure timeline for having the broken pipes fixed, the temperatures the following week could be problematic. We will keep you informed as our maintenance crew and outside agencies learn more information. In the mean time, please continue to send your child with extra layers. We know this isn't the optimal learning atmosphere, but weighed it against having to shift to remote on short notice.
Next Monday, April 11th, is when you can begin to register for next year. Don't forget that there is no school next Friday, April 15th. Any other days worth mention can be found in the calendar below.
