As we navigate through the year, let's keep this positive momentum going. Let's encourage one another, lift each other up, and keep our focus on growth and achievement. Together, we can make this school year a memorable one, filled with incredible experiences and achievements.
Thank you, students, parents, and staff, for making the start of this school year exceptional. Let's continue to work together to make our school community even stronger and brighter.
Library Receives Prestigious $100,000 Grant.
We are thrilled to announce that our school district libraries have been awarded a prestigious $100,000 competitive library grant from the State of Michigan's Department of Education.
This outstanding achievement is a result of the collaborative efforts of Nicole Markel from the Sandusky District Library, along with Lisa Smith, who worked diligently on the grant application last spring. With Kendra Messing's valuable assistance in the submission process, our school district secured the impressive 2nd place position statewide.
This grant is slated for use within the current school year, and Mrs. Smith will be working closely with the district library in accordance with the terms of the grant. Our students are in for a treat, as they will soon benefit from exciting new library enhancements that will be introduced throughout the upcoming school year.
Thank you for your continuous dedication and cooperation. Let's make the most of this remarkable opportunity to enrich our library resources and enhance the learning experience for our students.

Art on Display!
What is your favorite sandwich? What is your favorite book, movie, or tv show? What is your favorite place? What was the best thing that happened this summer? What is one thing you want to learn in art?
All art students answered those questions using colored pencils, markers, or crayons in their Getting To Know You posters during the first week of school. They also sharpened their ELA skills by doing a presentation or writing a paragraph in response to each question.
The top 3 projects from each level are currently displayed in the showcase.
