School Hours and Important Times

Office Hours: 8:15 - 4:15

Instructional Hours: 8:55-4:05

Arrival: Please do not drop off students prior to 8:25 AM. We cannot provide supervision of students prior to 8:25, therefore students may not enter until this time.

Breakfast: 8:25 - 8:55 AM

Students should be in class by 8:50 AM.

Dismissal is at 4:05 PM.

Walkers/Car riders are dismissed first, followed by bus riders.

Bus students are dismissed in the order that buses arrive.

Car line: Students must enter/exit a vehicle at the sidewalk area. Please pull forward as far as possible to keep the car line moving. All students must be picked up by 4:25 PM.

Please Update Emergency Contacts

At Fulton County Schools, we prioritize student safety. Emergencies happen. When they do, preparedness is the key to handling them well. We ask that all parents or guardians who have not listed an emergency contact to update your emergency contact list to include one person who is not the parent/guardian. If the parent or guardian is not accessible due to an emergency, it is important that the school has an approved person to contact regarding your student.

Spooky Sneaker Ball October 27

We will be hosting a "Spooky Sneaker Ball" on Friday, October 27 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM.

Students may purchase a ticket for $10 beginning October 2 during their lunch period. Only 200 tickets will be sold! To purchase a ticket, students must have a signed permission slip in hand*. Permission slips are available in the front office or you can download the PDF below.

There will be a DJ, pizza, snacks, and drinks, and more included as part of the ticket price.

*School administration reserves the right to deny a ticket sale and/or entry based on student behavior. Students with 8 or more demerits and/or two or more office referrals are not eligible to purchase a ticket.

Centennial Homecoming 2023

Centennial Invites our Feeder School Community to Join Sept. 29th Homecoming Activities

CHS Homecoming Parade: 6:00

· Spectators are asked to be on the sidewalks in our front parking lot area.

Parking is at Eagle’s Nest Church (former Kohls) parking lot only.

Centennial Football Game: 7:30 kick-off (gates open by 6:30)

· Middle school age students and under must be accompanied by a paying adult for entry.

· Tickets are on GoFan for pre-purchase or credit purchase at the gate (NO CASH sales at gate).

· All Centennial High School athletic games are clear-bag policy only. Please see visual.

Football parking in Centennial’s stadium lot is $5 or available at Eagle’s Nest.

It is never too late to recognize achievements! This week we honored our August Top Hawks based on the character trait consideration. Each month we honor a character trait related to our core values of Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Kind.

PTA Reflections Contest - NOW OPEN!

Calling all students to enter this year's PTA Reflections Contest! The deadline to submit entries is Friday, October 20th.

This year's theme is "I am hopeful because...". Explore the arts and express yourself!

Visual Arts

Special Artist Division (for students eligible for special education services)

Innovation Academy STEM Saturday Event

Innovation Academy will be hosting a free STEM Saturday for all 7th and 8th grade students who are eligible to apply on 11/4/2023 from 9am-12pm.

This day each student will engage in STEM activities that will be led by our students and teachers. Registration for the day will begin at 8:30 with activities beginning at 9:00am.

Sign-ups will be available to the first 100 students who sign-up. Every sign-up after the first 100 will be waitlisted.

Home Soccer Game Schedule

ALL students who attend a home sports event MUST be accompanied by the adult who is driving them home. Unaccompanied students will not be permitted to enter games.

Come cheer on the Hawks soccer team at home this season. All games start at 5:30 PM.

Thank you Northminster Presbyterian Church

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Northminster Presbyterian Church for donting $200 to our school cafeteria. The money was used to cover lunch fees for students in need. We appreciate the support of our community partners!

7th Grade MAP Testing

All 7th grade students will take the MAP Growth Assessment in the upcoming weeks. The math assessment will be given the week of September 25 and ELA will be given the week of October 2.

NWEA's MAP Growth test is a computer-adaptive test that measures skills in Reading and Math. As students answer questions correctly or incorrectly, the test adjusts the level of difficulty based on individual performance. Students' results can be made available upon request once scores are back from the vendor.

MAP Growth is a nationally normed assessment, which provides schools with performance norms by utilizing data from more than 10 million U.S. students. Teachers can use the results to help inform instruction, personalize learning, and monitor the growth of individual students. Administrators can use the results to help see the performance and progress of a grade level, school, or the entire district. MAP Growth is not used as a part of a student's grade. MAP Growth can be used as a criterion for TAG eligibility.
