A Look Back
What Happened in October
Let's dive into October. This month was jammed packed with special events and activities. There was the pool opening ceremony, we started the soccer program, parents in the classroom day and our Color Wars activities. Enjoy reliving some of these great moments at P224Q. 😀.
A Quick Dip
On October 20th, during our first Family Fun Night, P224Q held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the re-opening of our pool. Many families came to the event and enjoyed, food, crafts and of course swimming. We even had an outdoor movie as part of our ceremony.

Owlbert, Borough Field Liaison Dr. Marlin Hoggard, Principal Jamie Allen, and Superintendent Ketler Louissaint are all smiles.
Kicking It Around
On October 13th, site 186 got their first soccer training of the new school year with SoccerStars. SoccerStars is great program that helps to develop coordination skills, promotes physical fitness, and teamwork, builds confidence and of course provides a whole lot of fun. We are very grateful for the partnership we have with SoccerStars to help enrich the lives of our students.
Parents In the Classroom
We had our second Parents in the Classroom event on October 17th. Parents were invited to the classroom or via Zoom link to watch and participate in their child's lesson. Our Next Parents in the Classroom will be on November 15th. See you then. 😀
Here we see Keith and his mother working on a lesson together at 26.
Color Wars
October 31st saw 224 participate in Color Wars. Each site came to school in a designated color. Students at 186 dressed in Red, 266 wore Orange, 710 came to school in Yellow, 26 dressed in Green, 205 donned Blue and 314 wore White. There were many activities for both students and teachers. Some of the fun activities included a mummy wrap, candy relay race, pumpkin decorating contest and a freeze dance with our mascot Owlbert.
