Customer Service ⭐️
The Three P's of High-Quality Customer Service
Author: Brittany Hodak
Essentially, the 3 important qualities of customer service center around three “p”s: professionalism, patience, and a “people-first” attitude. Although customer service varies from customer to customer, as long as you're following these guidelines, you're on the right track.
The purpose of the compact is to remove barriers to educational success on children of military families because of frequent moves and deployment of their grownups.
We have 10 days from the time of receiving the records request to send them back to the student’s new school.
Military families have 30 days from the date of enrollment to get one or more immunizations.
Military families coming in with IEP paperwork, that information must get to the student’s teacher ASAP.
Military families coming in with English as a Second Language and/or Gifted and Talented paperwork, no matter Kindergarten on up, needs to be brought to the Principal’s attention ASAP.
Transitioning military children who are moving into our schools and are in extracurricular activities, regardless of application deadlines, to the extent they are otherwise qualified, can participate in our sports/clubs.
For your military families who are moving out of the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, they have the right to ask for a copy of their child’s unofficial records and we provide them. Reminding grownups that they need to hand carry them to the next school, not to put in their household goods is so important.
If you need help in getting records in or out, let Georgia know and she can come help you with that!

Follow up with a welcome packet or welcome flip guide 🤗
New families hear A LOT of school information in a very short time frame. Typically, families leave the school remembering 10% of what was told to them. Best practice is to provide backup information with a welcome folder or flip chart with the important school information that they need to know, so they can go back, and refer to it : )
