On Thursday, February 4th, we will host our WCEA/WASC pre-visit via Zoom. This is the kick-off of our assigned accreditation team getting to know our SVDP community.
We are excited to announce our plans to expand our in-person on-campus learning time!

Congratulations to our participants: Third grade – Nora Cassidy, Kathryn Gunning, Ashley Infante, Riley Lee, Noelle Lundgren, Briley Miller, Grace Myers, Amelia Natsch, Beckett Rahn, Sofia Rosenberg, Olivia Syme and William Wraga; Fourth grade – Matteo Avila, Miles Canapary, Gianna Cardinale. Dominic Carmignani. Pippo Doulton, Efua Essien, Deceil Fournouzian, Grant Gazzano, Gemma Gibson, Brooke Gorman, and Georgia Straley; Fifth grade: Stella Brilliant, Stella Cowell, Violet Daters, Olivia Duarte, Shalom Estifanos, Timmy Farrelly, Samantha Gilbert, Claire Gunning, Brianna Hollub, Bradley Kaiser, Ella Kummer, Ava Lindner, Nick Lundgren, Scott McKinnon, Emeric Natsch, Jack Pacula, Bronwyn Rahn, Chloe Schwing, Charlie Syme, Temperly Taisch, Harper Valentine, Olivia Van de Braak, Jack Vieira-Ducey, Anne-Claire Wilson and Luke Wraga; Sixth grade - Luke Porter, Nicholas Rosenberg, Sam Stewart, Stella Strain, Sam Straley, and Harrison Van; Seventh grade - Luca Avila, Jeremy Hornik, and Luke van de Braak; Eighth grade – Jack Brilliant and Cameron MacLeod. Everyone did a fantastic job. This year the initial test was taken online and the top three or four spellers in each grade went on to compete in the oral spelling bee. In the middle school bee, third grader Olivia Syme and fifth grader Ava Lindner, battled it out and finally in the 40th round, Olivia was the victor. The eight junior high students were equally as successful spelling very difficult words. After 23 rounds, eighth grader, Cameron MacLeod, outlasted all participants to take first place. Cameron will represent St. Vincent de Paul School in the Bay Area Regional Spelling Bee. Good luck to you, Cameron.
Thank you to our excellent judges: Rosanne Mattson, and Brenda Barkley. The Spelling Bee ran smoothly because of you.
Thank you to the teachers who helped the students prepare for the test. Your help was appreciated.
Thank you to the parents and faculty for taking the time to watch the Spelling Bee on youtube. Your support adds to our program.
THANK YOU!
Sue Della Cella
Spelling Bee Coordinator
