We made it to Friday!
Good evening Abernethy
I wanted to send out a couple of announcements that are relevant to this weekend and some that were relevant to today!
As we all know, this year, with declining enrollment, we were looking at a reduction in staff, larger class sizes and a loss in enrichment for our students in the 2023-24 school year. However, it is with the partnership with PTA, the Abernethy staff, the Abernethy community and our Abernethy auction that we are able to start to build a path forward a positive outlook on all that we can offer!
The staff and I have been starting our plan for next year. Not only in student placements, but in building interventions, extensions, schedules and in just about everything for next year!
I am excited about the energy around everything and am very much looking forward to all that we are going to be able to set in place for your students when they return in August!
Today I had the pleasure of hosting our first Principal for the Day! We had so much fun today, but I am not sure I convinced him that being a Principal was the best thing ever. I love it....... but the vision of recess, special treats and bossing everyone around didn't completely line up with his vision! However, we did have a lot of fun during our fire drill, recess duty, lunch duty and showing off the ultimate "Principal Face". Thank you Alex for the great day today!
