Calendar Reminders

  • Friday, April 28 - SIP Day - 1st through 8th grade early dismissal at 11:30 a.m. Pre-K and Kindergarten students do not attend school.

  • Monday, May 15 - Institute Day ( No School)

  • Thursday, May 11 - Kindergarten Round-Up - Incoming kindergarten round up at all elementary schools. If you are not yet registered for next year or need additional information, please contact your elementary school.
    Abraham Lincoln 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
    Ben Franklin 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
    Churchill 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

End of Year Dates

Playgrounds Closed to the Public During the School Day

As always, District 41 playgrounds are closed to the public during the school day, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors as the playground needs to be clear for our students while school is in session. This is for the safety of all children. Thank you!

Lunch Preorders Due This Thursday, April 27th by Midnight

District 41’s food service partner Quest requires preorders for all elementary school lunches. The preordering process allows Quest to better provide the accurate number of lunches to each school building. This process is required for all elementary students including families who have approved fee waivers.


Please order before midnight Thursday, April 27 for the first week of May. You can also order for the entire month of May.

D41 Music Gets National Recognition

District 41 has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 24th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Districts were evaluated on their funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs.

Mobile Clinic for District 41 Families

The DuPage County Health Department's Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Mobile Clinic is coming to Churchill Elementary School on April 28th. All families in District 41 are welcome to receive services at this mobile clinic.


This full-service clinic offers appointments, EBT cards with food benefits, community referrals and other support and information. Call 630.682.7400 to learn more about WIC services and eligibility or CLICK HERE

Community Cupboard at the Glen Ellyn Public Library

The Community Cupboard at the Glen Ellyn Public Library is a door-less cabinet in the lobby near the Library Services Desk that contains free items available to anyone who needs them. Available items vary depending on donations. The containers are intentionally not labeled, and the bins are clear so that people can identify the contents. People are encouraged to help themselves to items they need.


The Community Cupboard is totally donation based. No tax money is used to purchase the free items in the Community Cupboard. To donate items, please use the Glen Ellyn Public Library (GEPL) Community Cupboard Amazon wish list .
