New Ministry: Sassy Saints Monthly Meal

Sassy Saints is looking for volunteers...

We are starting a new undertaking for our Fincastle Church community. Beginning October

18, we will be providing hot meals once a month.

We are looking for volunteers that might want to deliver meals on wheels, or if you want to

just come and drive thru we will bring out to you. We will have a sign-up sheet to indicate if

you want a delivery or if you will pick up so we know how many meals we need to prepare.

We are looking for volunteers to make food or donate any of the items on that month's

menu. Volunteers are needed to help package the meals for pickup or delivery. Please sign up in the back of the Life Center to volunteer.

To receive a meal, you must sign up in advance so we prepare the correct quantity. The signup sheet for meals is on the table in the back of the Life Center. We plan for meals to be ready about 3:30 for pickup if you want delivery will be sometime after that for delivery.

Meals for October need to be signed up for by 10/15.

This is a new undertaking so we will probably tweak as we go along.

Dear Fincastle Families,

We encourage you to use the resources below to talk with your children throughout the week. This information comes from Lifeway's The Gospel Project curriculum, which we use in Sunday School and Children's Church. The Memory Verse and Big Picture Question will last for the entire unit (4-6 weeks). If you have younger children, feel free to shorten or simplify these into manageable concepts. The Lesson and Bible Reading will be new every week.

Memory Verse: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5

Big Picture Question: What is idolatry?

Idolatry is loving something else more than God.
