Parents and guardians,
As Valentine’s Day approaches, we want to remind you of the policies regarding this holiday. Valentine's parties are student only parties, as noted in the Student Handbook. In addition to knowing the importance of instructional time, we also know the value of this social interaction time with peers. If your child’s class has a Valentine celebration, your teacher will reach out to you regarding what is needed. You can then send it in with your student or drop it by the front office and we will get it to the classroom.
We also wanted to remind you of the policy regarding gifts sent on this day. Gifts will not be delivered to the classrooms. If your child receives a gift, it will be given to them as they leave for dismissal. Remember, balloons, breakable objects, and objects that cannot be held in the student's lap along with their backpacks are prohibited on the school bus. This includes really large stuffed animals and flowers in vases.
