Date: Sat, Feb 24, 2024
Time: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM (Mountain Standard Time)
Location: Jordan School District - Auxiliary Services Building (7905 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84088, Entrance A)
At EdCamp UT 2024, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sessions led by fellow educators. Whether you're a seasoned teacher or just starting your career, there's something for everyone. Share your experiences, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights from passionate professionals in the field.
Edcamp is a form of unconference designed specifically for teachers and their needs. This event is free to teachers and hosted by volunteers from several different educational organizations, including the Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) and the Utah Educational Library Media Association (UELMA) .
When you arrive at the location on the day of the event, there is no pre-set schedule of sessions or presenters. Instead, there’s just a blank sheet of big paper with a grid on it.
From that blank slate, everyone builds the session schedule together. As people mingle and chat over free continental breakfast, they put up potential discussion topics on a board. The entire process is positive and organic. Occasionally, people who don’t even know each other realize that they have similar interests and end up running a session together. Other folks come with an idea, throw it out to the group, revise it, and end up posting it with a refined focus. Since anyone who attends an Edcamp event can be a presenter at the event, it’s a very empowering experience for everyone involved.
Keynote: John Arthur from the Utah Teacher Fellows will be leading a panel discussion.
During the keynote the session ideas are organized and from there the unconference begins. You should expect to have lively discussions, network with other educators, and win great prizes or at least pick up some fun swag.
Don't miss out on this incredible chance to network, learn, and grow as an educator. Save the date and mark your calendars for EdCamp UT 2024 – a day filled with inspiration, collaboration, and endless possibilities!
