This Is It

This week, we learned about our next 8 Key to Success. This Is It is making the most of every moment. A positive This Is It! attitude can make everything we do productive, fulfilling, and fun! Life is full of distractions and opportunities to do something else, something other than what we’re doing now. Whenever our thoughts are occupied with something other than what we’re doing, we miss what’s going on around us at the moment. With a This Is It! attitude we can find joyful moments that we might otherwise have missed! We want all of our Lions to have a This Is It attitude about their learning.

50th Day of School

Kindergarten and First Grade will celebrate the 50th day of school on Tuesday, November 14th with our annual sock hop! Students are encouraged to dress in 50's day attire.

2nd Grade Grandparents Day Celebration

On Friday, November 17, grandparents of second graders are cordially invited to join their grandchild for a Grandparents' Day Celebration from 10:00 am-10:30 am. There will be a craft and students will be performing a song. We will also have photo backdrops for you to take pictures with your 2nd grader.

Grandparents are welcome to join their grandchild for lunch in the cafeteria immediately following the celebration at 10:35 am. Adult/Visitor lunch is $5.00. Please have exact change if purchasing a lunch.

4th Grade Recorder Instruments

Fourth graders will soon be learning to play the recorder in Music class with Mr. Rohed. Recommended Baroque Soprano Halo Recorders are available to purchase on School Cash Online.

Family Pumpkin Patch Winners

We had a great turnout for the Family Pumpkin Patch contest in the library. The students’ that won a family pizza dinner from Marcos’ Pizza are: Amber Calero, Lucy Meadows, and Autumn Cherrington. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all the families that participated!

NTB

Name that Book is in full swing. We have been meeting during 3-5th grade lunch times each Thursday. Students must turn in a list of 10 books from the 23-24 NTB list on 11/30/23. In November students will start to form teams and work on clues.
