iReady - Time-On-Task Minutes by Grade Level
iReady Minutes for March
Hello Howard Families,
Our kids are using iReady on a daily basis. The program gives each student individualized lessons based on their level in iReady. The expectation is for ALL students to do 1 hour of Reading and 1 hour of Math every week. If you have access to a computer and the internet, you are be able to access iReady at home. Use the student symbaloo link-
https://omsdstudent.symbaloo.com/home/mix/13ePBice8A and go through CLEVER to log into iReady. This month 1st grade accumulated the most iReady minutes for Reading and the most iReady minutes for Math!! Congratulations to 1st grade!
THANK YOU!!

PBIS Cultural Responsiveness
We work hard to establish a positive school culture by teaching "The Howard Way" in every area of the school. Establishing a positive school culture includes setting up the school’s social
environment to reflect a shared vision of common values, beliefs, and behavior expectations. We also want to ensure that every student feels that their family's culture is being honored and represented. According to the Center on PBIS, cultural responsiveness includes (a) holding high expectations for all students, (b) using students’ cultures and experiences to enhance their learning, and (c) providing all students with access to effective instruction and adequate resources for learning. One of the ways that we introduce students to diverse cultures is to post photos and biographies on classroom doors of important people during Hispanic Heritage Month in October, Native American Heritage Month in November, Black History Month in February, Women's History Month in March, and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May. This month, we are highlighting our diverse learning styles by recognizing National Autism Awareness Month.
