Dear Wredling Families
Today is Veterans' Day. Across our great nation, we took the time to pause in honor of the many men and women who currently serve or who have served our country throughout the years. We appreciate the commitment and sacrifice they and their families have made as they served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and National Guard. As our day began, I reminded our students about the importance of honoring our veterans and recognizing their service. We also observed a moment of silence before starting our day.
During our assembly this afternoon, we were able to learn about the history of Veterans Day, hear some poems about our Veterans, and listen to one of our local veterans speak. They also heard members of our orchestra play the National Anthem and God Bless America.
I encourage you to take some time to honor and remember those brave Veterans who have served and those currently serving in one of our armed forces. This is a message our children need to hear often. Let's honor the dedicated service our veterans have provided protection for our citizens, our nation, and our world.
Enjoy your weekend!

PapaNicholas Fundraiser & WMS Write-A-Check Campaign
Yesterday we kicked off our PTO PapaNicholas Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate Fundraiser AND our Write-a-Check Campaign. Your child learned about our fundraiser and learned about how our PTO spends the money (on them!) along with all the prizes they can win.
PapaNicholas items ordered will be received before winter break and make outstanding gifts for family members, employees, and friends. Even cranky old Uncle Ernie will enjoy getting some PapaNicholas!
Our timeframe this year is short. Our turn in dates are:
- First Turn-In: 11-14-22 (Monday)
- Second Turn-in: 11-17-22 (Thursday)
- Final Third Turn-In: 11-28-22 (Monday)
We have linked copies (below) of the PapaNicholas Order Form, the Write-A-Check Campaign information, and the Fundraising Flyer showing all the great raffle prizes our students can win and our top sales prizes. Parents-
Parents- due to allergies and asthma, we are asking that students not use perfume or cologne at school. For those with allergies and asthma, perfumes and colognes can be a trigger and can cause an attack. If students shower regularly and use deodorant, they should not have a need for cologne or perfume. Thank you for helping us keep kids safe and healthy at Wredling!

Suessical Jr!
Come immerse yourself in the wonderful, wacky world of Dr. Seuss! “Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!” – Music Theatre International
