Join UCET & UELMA for a statewide book club on a series of books from speakers at our 2024 conference: Donalyn Millers’ The Book Whisperer, Richard Culatta’s Digital for Good, and Carl Hooker’s Learning Evolution. Participants will engage in a series of asynchronous discussions and will develop a learning environment implementation project based on their chosen books. To receive credit, participants must complete two of the three books/modules and all work associated with that book. UCET & UELMA will also offer synchronous virtual discussion groups in January-March 2024 with participants. Books are to be purchased by the educator.

Common Sense Media has some great resources for educators who are learning about Artificial Intelligence including a series of eight lessons that explore AI Literacy in 6-12 classrooms. From their site:
"Quick, grab-and-go lessons to help your students think critically about AI and its impact.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the world we live in. From using generative AI for schoolwork to dealing with misinformation and befriending AI chatbots, students have a lot to consider when it comes to this ever-evolving technology.
This collection of quick lessons (20 minutes or less!) provide an introduction to AI and help address its social and ethical impacts. Through these lessons, students will:
- Understand what AI is and how it works
- Consider some of its potential benefits and risks
- Think critically about how we can be responsible and ethical users of AI"
Check out the lessons at the link below!
