TerraNova testing went well last week! We will have make-ups this week for students who missed some or all of the testing.

Title: Practicing the Art of Accompaniment in Your Family

Family session on March 14 at 7:00 pm

St. Joseph Parish, Cody Center, the Glenmore Room

This presentation will introduce, what Pope Francis has referred to as the “art of accompaniment” (Joy of the Gospel, no. 169) by focusing on how Jesus accompanied his disciples in the Gospels. Next, we will look at accompaniment as a way of evangelization that is rooted in the cultivation of relationships based on respect, trust, and love and mediated through the actions and attitudes we choose to adopt. Finally, we will reflect on practical ways that family members can more intentionally accompany one another.

-Drinking plenty of water is essential to help children stay hydrated and maintain their overall well-being in hot weather.

-Because our bodies are working hard, when we run and play in the sun, we sweat more and we lose fluids rapidly. Often kids and athletes do not realize they are dehydrated.

-Drink plenty of water when playing outdoors to avoid becoming dehydrated.

-These are the signs of dehydration you should be aware of:

-headache

-dizziness

-thirst

-feeling less alert

-muscle cramp

-decreased urine output

-urine that is dark in color

PCA uses a Virtues in Practice Program. Each month we focus on a specific virtue and different grade levels learn about a saint who exemplifies that virtue. At the end of month, there will be a family assignment to complete about the virtue. Each class will choose a Disciple of the Month based on the virtue.

February's virtue of the month is CHEERFULNESS. Cheerfulness is looking on the bright side.
