Ten years ago, our 2013 class developed the True North mentality. Each point on the 5-pointed star is recognized to represent one belief that our program will be built on. Each point on the star is equal to the one before it. The values of Leadership, Investment, Selflessness, Accountability, and Preparation make up our North Star. In the center of the completed stars lies the T.E.A.M. For the past ten seasons and every moment in between, we have remained consistent in our steadfast belief in these five values. They are our "True North". These beliefs will be our compass in all we do as a program on and off the field. Much like the Northstar in maritime days, we will use our "True North" as the compass we will follow in the journey to the elite. I am proud of these words and what they mean. I have seen them transform lives, including my own. I hope you can share in our "True North" philosophy and discuss these values with your son or daughter as much as possible.

Stars Family -

I hope this message finds you well. I always enjoy the opportunity to write my message each week. It is a great opportunity to reflect on the week and talk about the program. It forces me to think deeply on how we are creating our program and how we are progressing in our journey. The holidays always get me thingking about servant leadership and gratitude. It seems fitting during this time of year to want to help your fellow man and woman. I am lucky that teaching and coaching afford me that opportunity daily. Working with your children is a gratifying life to live. Thank you! In the spirit of the season our program will be having an opportunity to practice our selfless nature. On Friday, December 15th from 4pm to 6pm, the SCN Football Family is invited to help sort toys for the Toys for Tots Warehouse. It is open to all families, we are asking for pre event rsvp so please fill out the tab in the newsletter. I hope to see you there! DEC 1ST - DEC 16TH FBS NCAA CONTACT PERIOD BEGINS/ ALL OTHER DIVISIONS CONTINUE

The NCAA D1 FBS contact period has started. That means colleges can schedule times to visit with the 2024 recruits. In the coming weeks, we will have an excellent opportunity to get our players in front of some of the best and brightest colleges in the country. Our protocol for college visits is as follows.

1. Coach Pomazak emails administration scheduled visits for the coming day, including which students have been asked to attend by visiting college coach.

2. Students will receive a pass before the scheduled visit.

3. Students will only have 15 minutes to visit. This will help limit the loss of instructional time.

4. If students have any assessments during the visit, they are not permitted to come.

5. Teachers have the right to ask students not to leave class.

6. Students should refrain from missing the same class twice a row.

SCN 4TH PHASE PARENT GROUP

To help assist our program and build our athletes during the winter sports performance season we are asking our families to help assist us in providing recovery options for consumption. After each workout we would like to provide our varsity athletes with easy calories to help replensish their systems. Our program will be purchasing Muscle Milk and Gatorade recovery but we would also appreciate donations made so that we can provide a variety of options and ensure we have enough quantity in stock.

Our program must be the most represented in all of athletics. Our parents raised over 3,000 dollars for our program this past year because of their volunteering efforts for our boosters. Please consider volunteering for these great opportunities. The boosters group is an all-athletics group that creates opportunities for all sports. Additionally, our 4th Phase desperately needs concessions and other positions filled ASAP. If we do not supply the posts, it will directly impact your child's experience in our program. With out the support of every person, we cannot run the program at the capacity it has been used to. If we do not get the help in the coming weeks, we will have to restructure areas of our program which is not ideal.
