St. Cecilia Spotlight - Feb 14

Several grade levels are near capacity! If you are a CURRENT family and have not registered yet, please do so now to secure your child's spot. Registration opened to the public on January 28. Registrations are now accepted on a first come/first serve basis.

MISSING ITEMS WILL BE CONSIDERED INCOMPLETE AND WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

In order for an application to be accepted, all 3 steps must be completed below.

1. Completed Sycamore Application (ID: 3298) (K-8 Only)
2. Tuition Agreement & Payment Selection Form (Purple Hard Copy)
3. Registration Fee - $100/student

INCOMING KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES: If your child attended preschool here at St. Cecilia, you already have a Sycamore account set up, please contact the school office if you do not have your login information. Do NOT set up a new account!

*Registration for Preschool, Daycare, and Aftercare needs to be completed via paper registration that came home in the Wednesday folder. Please contact the school office if you are unsure if you are missing any items in the registration process.

We have seen an uptick in various illnesses this week and last. We are doing our part here at school to disinfect and sanitize and we ask that you assist us as well. Per the handbook, a student must remain vomit, diarrhea, and fever-free (without the assistance of medication) for 24 hours BEFORE returning back to school.

Aladdin, Jr. is coming up quickly. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to see the acting talents of some of our students! The students have worked hard and are ready to share: "A Whole New World," "Friends Like Us," and "Prince Ali," with us! Come and join the fun! February 23 at 7 PM and February 24 at 2 PM, Simon Kenton Auditorium. Ticket sale information is in the link below.

The 7th grade will be having a bake sale the weekend of the play for their 8th grade field trip? This will be donations only - so please bring cash!

Here is our 2024 Fish Fry Menu! Don't forget that our first Fish Fry is Friday, February 16th in our Undercroft from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

The Stagette is quickly approaching! We are no longer taking monetary donations but families can still purchase gift cards or items for their classroom Stagette baskets. Grade levels with 85% participation will get an out of uniform day.

The Stagette ticket waitlist is growing! If you have purchased extra tickets that are unaccounted for and would like to sell them back, please email the PTO.

Save the Date - Golf Outing - June 1, 2024

Join us for the 4th Annual Golf Outing held by the St. Cecilia Sports Committee, memorializing the late pastor of St. Cecilia Parish, Fr. Mario J. Tizziani. Proceeds will help fund noise control solutions for the gymnasium by placing acoustic panels on the walls. These gym acoustic panels are the ideal solution for soundproofing our gymnasium. After hosting our first official school league in 2023 in our gym, we found that the sound in our gym echoes as it ricochets off the hardwood floors, concrete walls, and open ceilings. These panels are the best acoustic panels for gymnasiums, built to last, and a great investment! Sponsorship opportunities are available!

St. Cecilia is hosting the Diocese 5th Grade Boys Basketball League this year. This is a huge undertaking that requires lots of volunteers to make it successful. Please plan to work a shift, or two, or three! Money made from hosting this event will financially benefit the school and our student athletes.

PLEASE NOTE: The current dress code does permit apparel from the sports committee spiritwear shop. The dress code was approved prior to the new line of apparel being offered. At this time, we will honor the current dress code for the 2023-2024 school year. We will move to wearing the official school crest only for the following year.

***Additional spirtwear days will be added to the calendar for students to showcase all things St. Cecilia.***

(Items permitted: Crewneck Sweatshirts, 3/4 Zip, Fleece and Sweaters - NO HOODIES!)

HOW TO ORDER:

3. Select your preferred items and sizes, then proceed to checkout.
4. Be sure to include your student's name, grade, and homeroom teacher's name in the order form to ensure it gets delivered with no issues. Failure to do so will result in delay in delivery.
5. Complete your order and mark your calendar for the delivery date. Items will be delivered to the students' homeroom at the end of each month.

NOTE: The store will close each month on the 15th and everything ordered will be delivered by the 30th. If you order after the 15th it will be delivered the following month. Let's make this school year truly unforgettable by proudly representing our beloved Saint Cecilia Catholic School.
