3rd GRADE STUDENTS VISIT PEINHARDT FARMS
The Peinhardt Living History Farm focuses on rural life in the 1930s and 1940s.
Students got to experience what growing up was like back then through learning more about milking cows, collecting eggs, growing crops, and much more.
What a fun day!
We would like to say a special thanks to the Peinhardt family for continuing to make this activity possible for children across the area.
RESPECT FOR THE FLAG
With the help of Mrs. AnnaDeidra, students are learning how to properly handle the American flag and how to raise and take it down each day.
UPPER SCHOOL HELPERS
We sure miss having all of our students on one campus, but we are thankful that some of the juniors and seniors are able to serve in the lower school as teacher aides.
BEING OBEDIENT TO THE LORD
In case you didn't know it, there is a revival fire burning in our 2nd-6th grade students. Each week during chapel service they are learning and growing more. Watching them be obedient to the Lord, share with others, and pray for each other is amazing!
YEARBOOK PHOTOS
On Wednesday, October 4th, students PK-12 had pictures made for the yearbook.
Everyone was decked out in their best uniform, or for seniors, in a tux or drape.
With lots of smiles and giggles throughout, we are sure that Spoiled Rotten Photographers got some great shots! We cannot wait to see the results!
*Make up picture day for any students that were absent will be on Monday, November 6th.
ROBOTICS TEAM
Each week CCS students and students from the surrounding area meet for Robotics.
This year's team is working hard and getting ready to compete.
We love seeing the students use their interests, gifts and talents to grow.
SPELLING FUN
Students in Mrs. Dodd's 1st grade class spent a little time working on spelling words and sound blends this week while having fun in shaving cream.
XC MEET
On Saturday, October 7th, our Cross Country Team participated in the Lake Guntersville Invitational.
Congratulations to Hollings Ash on finishing in 6th place of the Girl's JV division and 2nd place out of the JV Small Schools (1A-4A).

3 Types of People in the Room
This week during chapel service, Brother Benjamin Smothers brought a compelling message. He stressed that in most situations, including in a Christian school, there are three types of people in the room. 1) People who do not know Jesus, 2) People who know about Jesus, but don't have a relationship with him, and 3) People who love and serve Jesus.

The Other Ms. Yearwood
If your student comes home talking about another Ms. Yearwood, they are probably referring to Miss Bailee.... Mr. and Mrs. Yearwood's daughter who has been a substitute a few times lately.
Veterans Day Program
We will be having a Veterans Day Program in November. The program will be held in the Desperation Church auditorium so that everyone can attend. We are excited for the opportunity to have everyone (PK-12) together for this event.
