Congratulations to the Concert Band and Wind Band on a successful performance Friday

Night at the ISSMA Organizational Festival. These bands performed for three judges, each

receiving comments and a score rating their performance. The concert band received a

gold rating and the Wind Band received a Gold Rating with Distinction, scoring only 3

points from a perfect score. The Wind Band was also recognized as the top scoring

ensemble in their group this weekend. Congratulations, SHS Band Students!

On May 2nd, the AP Government exam will be administered in the morning in the GBR and the AP Japanese exam will be in the counseling conference room, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen. The AP Chemistry exam will be administered at 12:00 in the aux gym. Bring a blue or black ink pen and two number two pencils (no mechanical).Please arrive at 11:40 and make sure to eat lunch before you arrive.

On May 3rd, the AP Environmental Science exam will be administered in the morning in the GBR, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen and your calculator.

On May 4th, the AP English Literature exam will be administered in the morning in the GBR, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

On May 5th, the AP Macroeconomics exam will be administered in the morning in the GBR, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

On May 6th, the AP US History exam will be administered in the morning in the auxiliary gym, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

On May 9th, the AP Calculus AB and BC exam will be administered in the morning in the GBR beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

On May 10th, the AP English Language exam will be administered in the morning in the aux gym, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

On May 11th, the AP Spanish exam will be administered in the morning in the GBR, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen. Bring a charged ipad.

On May 11th, the AP Biology exam will be administered in the afternoon in the auxiliary gym, beginning at 12:00 p.m.. Please arrive by 11:40 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen, and your calculator. You need to eat lunch before you arrive.

On May 12th, the AP World History exam will be administered in the morning in the auxiliary gym, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen, and your calculator.

On May 12th, the AP Physics 1 exam will be administered in the afternoon in the GBR at 12:00. Arrive there by 11:40 a.m. Please eat first lunch then report to the exam room with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

On May 13th, the AP Music exam will be administered in the counseling conference room, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a black or blue ink pen. Bring a charged ipad.

The AP Latin exam will be administered in the counseling conference room beginning at 12:00. Please arrive by 11:40 and eat lunch beforehand. Bring two number two pencils (no mechanical) and two black or blue ink pen.

The AP Physics 2 exam will be administered in the afternoon in the GBR at 12:00. Arrive there by 11:40 a.m. Please eat first lunch then report to the exam room with two number two pencils (no mechanical). Bring a blue or black ink pen.

If your child will be entering Kindergarten, 6th grade or 12th grade, they may need vaccinations that are required for school.
Letters have been mailed to those that will need vaccinations for the 22-23 school year. It is important to get that appointment scheduled now so your child will be up to date on his/her vaccinations prior to the start of school in August 2022.
If you have questions about your child's immunizations, please contact your primary care physician or the Shelby County Health Department at 317-392-6470.
The health department will no longer be charging the $20 administration fee for uninsured or underinsured and they accept most insurances.
