Romulus Central School District
December 21, 2023
Dear Romulus Central School District Community,
After 11 years of dedicated service, Superintendent Rotz has announced his retirement.
“Serving as your superintendent has been a true honor and privilege. I am profoundly grateful for the unwavering support, collaboration, and trust extended to me throughout these years. Witnessing the growth, achievements, and aspirations of our students and district has been the highlight of my career, and I am proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together as a community,” shared Mr. Rotz.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rotz has been the guiding force behind our district's success, leading with dedication and an unwavering commitment to our students and school community. Please join me in extending our sincerest gratitude and warm wishes to Mr. Rotz as he steps into this well-deserved retirement. Mr. Rotz will be retiring on June 30, 2024.
As we begin the process of looking for our next Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education adopted a resolution to authorize the appointment of Lynne Rutnik, District Superintendent of the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES, as the lead search consultant for the position of Superintendent of Schools at our December 12, 2023 meeting. Through this appointment, Superintendent Rutnik and Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES will support the Board of Education as we facilitate a thorough search including community feedback, stakeholder meetings and opportunities to engage. It is anticipated that the new Superintendent will join our District on July 1, 2024.
As we enter into this holiday season, the Board of Education would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Romulus community for your continued support. We wish you all a peaceful holiday season and a new year filled with opportunities.
With gratitude,
The Romulus Central School District Board of Education
