The schedule for our testing is:
May 11 - Reading
May 12 - Math
May 17 - Writing
May 18 - Science - 5th grade only
As you schedule doctor appointments, days off, etc. please avoid these dates as much as possible. All students will need to take the tests and it is much easier for them to take the test with their classmates.
Spring Photos
We will take a CLASS PHOTO and individual photos only for those who have purchased photos.
There will be a website link available on Monday that can be used for purchasing photos using a credit or debit. If you need a printed form to purchase with cash or check, please let Mrs. Burnside know. These forms AND money must be returned before the photographer takes the photo.
There will be NO makeup photo days.
1st Grade Families
Mrs. Courtney Ellis will be subbing for Mrs. Norman during her time off. Mrs. Ellis will be in the classroom a couple of days this month to get to know the first graders and to let them learn about her.

It is our desire to:
- Provide a nurturing, consistent environment which emphasizes the development of the individual child’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.
- To teach all children so they may achieve their highest academic potential utilizing authentic learning experiences, to build a foundation to become college and career ready, and to be lifelong learners.
- To guide all children in becoming leaders, problem solvers, and listeners.
- To encourage appropriate relationships through parent and community involvement in the school.
Our Goal:
Hodgesville Elementary School will have an increase of at least 1.0 GE growth for 40% of our students as based on beginning of the year to end of the year data for 2021 – 2022 end of year assessments for Math and English Language Arts.
