On-Campus Lunch Policy
We have an important change regarding our school's lunch policy for the upcoming academic year.
Starting this year, all 9th- and 10th-grade students will be required to stay on campus during lunch hours. This aligns with practices at other D6 high schools, and similar policies have led to positive outcomes in both community and school environments.
I want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. We included the voices of our students in the deliberation, and our Instructional Leadership Team was unanimous in its support. Our primary goal is to create an environment that is conducive to learning and the overall well-being of our students.
Every student, regardless of grade, is invited to enjoy a healthy, complimentary lunch on campus. Later this year, we plan on adapting the policy so that 10th-grade students who maintain good standing in grades, attendance, and behavior will be granted off-campus lunch privileges. Further details will be shared at that time.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Together, we strive to provide the best for our students.

City Bus Transportation
As the new school year gears up, we wanted to share some important information from the City of Greeley Mobility Services regarding the public bus service. Here are the key takeaways:
Zero Tolerance for Smoking & Vaping: Remember, there's absolutely no smoking or vaping allowed on the buses, keeping in mind city ordinances and the well-being of other passengers.
Mindful Conversations: While chatting and fun are encouraged, please remind your child to avoid using inappropriate or derogatory language. This ensures a comfortable ride for everyone.
Keep the Buses Clean: Our buses are known for being clean! Let's maintain this reputation by refraining from littering or vandalism.
Priority Seating: Encourage your child to offer their seat to the elderly or disabled when seated at the front.
Please note that failure to adhere to these rules might result in suspension from the bus services. We all play a role in ensuring a safe and pleasant journey for every student.

D6 STUDENTS TO RECEIVE SCHOOL MEALS AT NO COST THIS SCHOOL YEAR.
Greeley-Evans School District 6 is excited to announce the participation in the Healthy School Meals for All program for breakfast and lunch. This means that all D6 students may eat school breakfast & lunch at no cost!
What does this mean for you?
Families, you no longer have to worry about filling out lengthy applications to qualify for free school meals. Every child in our 30+ schools across the Greeley-Evans community will automatically receive this incredible benefit, without needing to complete an application or other additional steps.
D6 School Benefits Application
While all students will receive meals at no cost, it is important for households to provide income information through the D6 School Benefits Application. This information is crucial for D6 to maintain full access to state and federal funding that supports school programs, after-school activities, and other benefits.
Additionally, qualifying households may have their school & athletic fees waived for the 2023-24 school year.
Let's Work Together
We believe that this program's success lies in collaboration between our school district and you, the parents. We encourage you to support and guide your children in making the most of this opportunity. We believe that healthy eating habits are best developed with your involvement, and together, we can empower our students to thrive.
Taking Advantage of Free School Meals
We strongly encourage all families to take full advantage of this opportunity for their children. Not only do free school meals help alleviate financial burdens, but they will also help in promoting a healthier and more focused learning environment for our students to thrive and succeed.
You can stay informed about the meals being offered at your child's school by viewing their menu & nutritional information. This will provide you with a detailed look at the delicious and nutritious meals prepared by our talented school nutrition team.
Simply use the filter options to select your student's school & type of menu.
Promoting Healthy Eating Habits
Greeley-Evans School District 6 Nutrition Services is committed to promoting healthy eating habits among our students. By providing free school meals, we aim to ensure that every child has access to nutritious food options that contribute to their overall well-being and academic success.
