About South Tech: At South Tech, we provide students with real-world experiences, real-world skills, and engaging, hands-on learning to prepare them for college and careers. We celebrate the pursuit of their passion and help them find the right pathway to their own success. Our partial-day schedules keep students engaged in their home high school academics and activities while they enjoy experimental learning in Tech's elective courses.
Our tuition-free, career and technical education (CTE) majors allow students to explore their career interests before graduation while earning industry certifications, college and high school credits, and skills that will last a lifetime. We work with an impressive list of business and industry partners that provide our students with mentorship, internships, apprenticeships, part-time employment, scholarships, and full-time employment offers after high school. Our students are in demand.

SBG Grading Practices and Expectations Parents, please continue to monitor grades in the SIS Portal. Note that many of our teachers are focusing more on performance and assessments in grading than they have in the past. While some homework may still serve as formative assessments that are graded, assignments that are given just as practice may not show up for grades as they have in the past. Therefore, fewer assignments than what you have seen in the past MAY be evident.
LHS Football Game of the Week and Food Drive KSDK has selected the game between LHS and Ritenour this Friday as their game of the week. As part of this celebration, Channel 5 is conducting a food drive. Operation Food Search drivers will drop off 15 barrels at both participating schools on Monday and pick them up Friday, typically between 10AM-12PM. Once the barrels are weighed the total weight of the food donations by each school will be sent to KSDK before 5PM, on Friday. The LHS Food Barrels will be in the auditorium lobby.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced that six Lindbergh High School students have been named semifinalists in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. Approximately 16,000 students earned the honor nationwide. National Merit Semifinalists are high school seniors who show exceptional skills, accomplishments and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Lindbergh’s honorees include Benjamin Koberlein, Chinmay Kumar, Nathan Liebetreu, Douglas Sachs, Madison Sweet and Cooper Terrill. These students entered the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents fewer than 1% of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest scoring individuals in each state. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring.
