VICE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Thank you. Thank you to all the fine staff at MES who have not lost their way on caring for kids. I’m so proud of our MES staff who maintain such high literacy and numeracy standards, while not sacrificing the love for our community kids; in fact, my belief is that the two are intrinsically linked.
Thank you to our community partners, supporters, and parents. MES has experienced the deep and profound benefit of healthy relationships, community support, high capacity volunteers, and PAC.
While on one hand I will miss all of the MES goodness in all of its wonderful layers, on the other I am excited to continue the teamwork, kindness, care, professionalism, and work ethic that represent so much of our community. Thank you for your trust and the unwavering support we cherish.
Wishing everyone a well deserved summer break. Looking forward to seeing you at MMS.

School is almost out! Kick off the summer fun at Mitchell & Area Fun Days on July 8 th & 9 th!
A parade will be coming through town as part of this year’s event, and we would love to have
the kids in the community join us! Gather your friends, decorate your bicycles, and meet us at
the Mitchell Gospel Fellowship church parking lot on July 8 th at 10:30am.
There will be Fun Days volunteers there to help get you set up. Parade starts at 11am!
We are also looking for 4-6 parents to volunteer as chaperones to help keep our kids safe -
please consider putting on your sneakers and walking alongside the kids’ bike section in the
parade! Please email mitchellfundaysvolunteers@gmail.com to sign up as a chaperone.
We will also be collecting Tins for the Bin during the parade! Regardless if you join the parade
with your bike or just watch and take it in, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to put into the train of blue barrels when you see it come by in the parade. All proceeds will be donated to Steinbach Community Outreach to help those in need.
For more information, including a map of the parade route, please visit our website:
