FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) - FLEX Conference
FBLA took 26 students and three advisor/chaperones to the FBLA Fall Leadership Extravaganza (FLEX) conference on November 8 at the Phoenix Convention Center. The students attended an opening session followed by three break out sessions where they could choose from over 45 different innovative, hands-on, exciting workshops. They concluded the day with dinner and activities at Dave & Busters.
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) - State Leadership Conference
On November 7th, nineteen students and two advisors from LHHS HOSA - Future Health Care Professionals Club traveled to Phoenix for the annual Fall Leadership Conference. Students got to network with peers, listen in on sessions regarding HOSA-specific competitions, health care fields, and self-care workshops.
It was a great day, and everyone yielded something from the experience.
FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) - ECE, Ed Professions and Fashion
On November 9th, the Early Childhood and Education Profession FCCLA students chartered to the Phoenix Convention Center and enjoyed attending a variety of workshops . Students learned about competitive events they can participate in, job interview skills, preparing for their future, the importance of community college, and practicing gratitude. It was a great experience!

CTE Counselor's Corner
College, Careers and Beyond Fair
The Career Center had the opportunity to host a College, Career and Beyond Fair on November 9th at Lake Havasu High School. Juniors and Seniors were able to meet with college and universities, law enforcement from Mohave and La Paz Counties, military, Border Patrol, and trades such as welding, HVAC, and cosmetology. There were 30 organizations represented.
AZ at Work
AZ at Work hosted a resume writing workshop with 24 students in attendance. There will be five workshops fining tuning resumes, interview preparation, mock interviews, and a follow up from all sessions. AZ at Work offers assistance when applying for jobs, grants and help with furthering education.
Other Happenings
MCC/WAVE presentations being on 11/17 in CTE courses, starting with Mr. Mallinger’s business classes. Students hear about options during and after high school.
The CEI Internship is wrapping up this month. Rylee interned at Kids Little Smiles and has been offered a job! Students interview with the Chamber and are placed in their career field interest. They work 30 hours and receive a check at our celebration in December.

Business Management
Business students heard from Cameron Moses and Chris Webb came in to guest speak to our fundamentals of Business program about customer service and how to handle complaints as we as to the intermediate Business classes on the importance of branding. We appreciate the community support and wisdom brought to LHHS Business students!
Early Childhood and Education Professions
Students in Early Childhood Education and Education professions created Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Balloons for their STEM project this month. Students had to design their balloons and program the robot carriers that would follow the New York street pathway. Students learned how they could implement this lesson in a classroom environment as well/
Educational Professions
Congratulations to Hailee for being awarded the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Certificate in her Educational Professions class.
Law and Public Safety
Ms. Gray’s advanced Crime Scene students practiced their skills by managing different crime scenes in class. Students had to follow the step by step process of processing, document and illustrating their specific crime scenes. Students hope to compete at SKills USA regionals and state in this year’s crime scene competition.
Marketing
Marketing is currently preparing to attend our DECA competition in the Spring. We are meeting to plan out their marketing campaigns so that they can successfully present at SCDC. In the meantime our remaining students are working to wrap the 2023 year up with some festive cheer. We will soon be selling Crewneck Sweaters for the cold weather and Holiday Grams to help spread the holiday cheer.

Hello my name is Alexis and I am a senior at Lake Havasu High School. I am a student in DE Medical Terminology and after high school I plan on going to school to earn a certification in Phlebotomy. At the same time, I will also be taking classes for radiology. Once I take the TEAS test, hopefully I can start the radiology technician program. After college I will find a place to start working full-time here in Lake Havasu City.
