Welcome to our first year as a consolidated school and consolidated library. This year brings many challenges starting with our library full of books! Good news is we've got a lot of it!! I will be working to get as many of these titles available to you as soon as possible. First, textbook distribution will happen the first two weeks of school. Please have your student ID ready. I am the only librarian but I am hoping to get some amazing students to help in the library as student library aids. This could be you! If you love books, and love helping match people with books, please come see me. Many hands make light work. Thanks for your patience as I get the library space up and ready for you to inhabit :-) I am very excited to meet each and everyone of you.

Hello Crimson Bears! Did you know that you can borrow any book in this library and there is no limit to the number of books you can check out as long as you can carry them, care for them, READ them, of course, and return them. Just make sure you return or renew your materials. I would love to see you in the library. Come and visit our space. Have your student ID ready because you must sign in whenever you enter the library.

If you still have materials from last year, please return them now. Let's start the year with a clean slate.

September ushers in National Hispanic Heritage Month! We have several titles for you to explore from writers like Benjamin Saenz-Alire, Isabel Allende, Julia Alvarez, Gary Soto, Yamile Saied Mendez to name a few. Come by the library and check them out!!

How wonderful to finally start the year with your beautiful selves in person! Please visit the library and check out our new arrivals. Students, always sign in when you enter the library. Bring your student ID and scan your card whenever you enter the library...ALWAYS!

The library is open for Enrichment starting August 25th. For now, there will be a 50-person capacity restriction due to COVID. Please keep at least 3 feet distance from each other and keep face masks on at all times. I am very happy to see all of you and will be smiling behind my mask when I see you!

I hope you continue to read over the summer. Visit our local public libraries (or libraries wherever you are on vacation). Go to the Friends of the Library and pick up a book for a dollar! Find time to just sit and relax, away from your electronic device for a bit. Thank you, everyone, for visiting me in the library and talking books, life, and everything in between! I am looking forward to seeing all of you in person next school year.

PS...if you got a reminder from me to return materials, drop them off at school anytime between 9:00a.m - 3:00pm Monday through Friday. There will always be someone in the front office or in the counseling office this summer. They will gather the books for me until I return in August.

Hello! I'm so glad to be serving as your librarian. This is the beginning of my sixth year as librarian. Before this, I taught English Literature for 19 years, all but one were in this very same school. I love the Crimson Bears and can't imagine a more perfect job than being a librarian. I still work with students and collaborate with teachers and I get to read lots of books and sometimes, English essays, though I no longer have to grade papers...so I can read even more books!
