Westy Academy Weekly Newsletter
Week of September 13th-17th, 2021
A Message From the Principal...
Hello Owls!
We had a short week this week so I don’t have a ton to report on. Thanks to all the primary parents for your support in talking with your students about “rough and tumble” play at school. We want to make sure the kids have fun in class and at recess, but we want to make sure everyone remains safe.
Needless to say, play between students was much better this week! Thanks so much for your partnership and please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is an issue either at home or at school. We are here to help!
Other than the thank-you note, we are looking ahead to School Picture Day next Wednesday! Keep in mind that students are allowed to dress in "plain clothes", but we encourage students to take this day as an opportunity to dress in their best outfits! It is always so amazing to see everyone looking so nice, neat and formal--not to mention it makes for some very special school photos!
Lastly, we are getting some After School Clubs rolling again! Check for more info, below.
Have a great week!
~Mr. Warwick

After School Clubs at Westy Academy
After School Clubs are starting to make their comeback! We do have a couple of Clubs that are being offered starting next week, make sure to click the link below to check them out and register if your student is interested. Space is usually limited, and fill on a first completed, first served basis.
After School Clubs are FREE, unless otherwise noted--and will be offered in 5 sessions throughout the school year. The Clubs are facilitated by our own teachers and staff, and club themes and topics change each session. As well, the grade level that each club is open to can vary, and not all clubs are offered to all students in all grades during every session. Be sure to pay attention to these details, along with the days and times the club is ran, prior to registering!
As each session approaches, Westy Academy will send out notifications in newsletters about the Clubs, along with links to register.
